Details | We are delighted to offer a ‘New Music Leads’ workshop, designed to equip teachers with techniques to teaching music in the classroom delivered by Diane Fleming. Diane has a wealth of experience both leading music in schools and delivering training to those working towards QTS, ECTs etc. Diane has led music in 7 primary schools, taught on the music coordinators programme at York St John University and worked as an Advanced Skills Teacher in Music. She currently leads music for 2 teaching school alliances. Diane is driven to ensure that high quality music education is delivered in primary school children. Session 1 - Monday 13th January 2025 Exploring Current Issues and agendas in Primary Music Discussions: • How to successfully lead/monitor music in your setting • The National Plan for Music • Ofsted • Specific challenges in your setting for ensuring high quality Music Education • Musical Appraisal – how you can ensure it is part of every music lesson • How to embed music principles across the curriculum ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Session 2 - Monday 17th March 2025 Practical Workshop: • Composition including the use of IT • Progress in Music • How to support non specialists on your staff • Music for 3-7 age range Venue: Tranmere Park Primary | |||
