Personal, social and emotional development is identified by the Statutory framework for the early years’ foundation stage as one of the prime areas of learning.

This subject is particularly important for building a foundation for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, forming relationships and thriving.

In this workshop we will understand the aims of the reforms to EYFS, the value of partnership with Parents and understanding ‘Development matters’ with a focus on areas of best practice for your setting.

This workshop provides practical ideas on how to deliver the more sensitive aspects of the RSHE (Relationships, Sex and Health Education) subjects in an inclusive, comfortable and safe environment.

We will explore effective techniques of how to answer direct questions from parents and pupils and how to manage these conversations effectively in an age-appropriate manner.

• How to teach a difficult or sensitive RSHE subject
• How to define what is 'age appropriate' for your pupils?
• Answering questions from pupils and parents relating to RSHE
