| Details | Our programme covers three half day sessions and will be delivered by Bryony Turford from Primary Science Geeks who has a wealth of expertise. Bryony has been delivering high quality professional development sessions for leaders, classroom practitioners, trainees and ECTs for over 20 years and a teacher for more than 25. Bryony Turford is the founder and director of Primary Science Geeks, an education consultancy based in Yorkshire and The Humber and co-founder and director of My Science Club Ltd. Session dates: Autumn Session 1 - 18th November 2026 Spring Session 2 - 5th March 2027 Summer Session 3 - 15th June 2027 Timings: 1pm-4pm*: Prep & Reading Time – 1pm-1.30pm Online CPD Live Session - 1.30pm-3.30pm Follow Up Actions – 3.30pm-4pm Course overview. Session 1 – 18th November 2026 This session will include: • Curriculum 2028 – Where do we start? What do we need to do right now? • English and Science – Oracy focus • Professional learning needs for the year ahead as a science leader • News – keeping up to date with Primary Science Session 2 – 5th March 2027 This session will include: • Curriculum 2028 – What do we know now? What are the implications? • English and Science – Reading focus • Enrichment of our science learning • News – keeping up to date with Primary Science Session 3 – 15th June 2027 This session will include: • Curriculum 2028 – What do we need to do in the next year to be curriculum ready for September 2028? • English and Science – Writing focus • Plus, a further stand-alone agenda item TBC # • News – keeping up to date with Primary Science * Approximately one week before the session, you will be sent a short set of preparation activities to think about, to do and to bring. These are designed to take no longer than 30 minutes to prepare.
